Afternoon Tea is served between 1:00pm – 2:30pm.

A member of our talented education team will show you through the zoo on a guided afternoon tour! During this tour you will visit the open range section of our zoo, experiencing hands on interactions with some of our amazing animal residents!

All guests are welcome to pre-dinner drinks, held on the Jamala terrace. Join our education team once more for an informative talk about our resident Hyenas Pinduli and Zuberi and the chance to take some up-close photos with our magnificent white lions, Jake and Mischka!
uShaka Lodge guests: Please make your way to the Rainforest Cave from 6:15pm, follow the ‘Jamala’ signs through the aquarium.

Indulge in our award winning African-influenced “dinner party” menu, featuring beautiful wines and Moet champagne. Seating will be allocated upon your arrival to the Rainforest Cave. When at maximum occupancy guests staying in the uShaka Lodge or multiple night stays will dine upstairs next to our beautiful aquarium.

As the evening draws to a close, we will have a bus service to deliver Giraffe Treehouse and Jungle Bungalow guests back to their suite to enjoy the sounds of the zoo at night. uShaka Lodge guests, please make your way back to your room when you are ready to retire for the night.

DEPARTURE DAY

uShaka Lodge guests: When ready to depart, please bring your luggage to
reception along with your room key. Should you require assistance with luggage, please contact our reception team.

If you are not in a hurry to reach your next destination, feel free to check-out at Jamala Reception by 11am and enjoy the zoo for the remainder of the day. Remember to check if any spots are available for further animal encounters before you leave.

Our team will show you to your room and can assist with any queries.

Time now to relax and enjoy a little piece of Africa.

Refer to the map issued upon check-in and follow the ‘Jamala’ signs for directions to Rainforest Cave.

A bus service departing from 6pm from #16 on your map will run for guests that do not wish to walk to dinner.

Seating has been pre-allocated and you will be shown to your table upon your arrival to the Rainforest Cave.

When at maximum occupancy, guests staying in the uShaka Lodge or multiple night stays will dine upstairs next to our beautiful aquarium.

As the evening draws to a close we will have a bus service to deliver you back to your suite to enjoy the sounds of the zoo at night.

DAY 2

Breakfast will be served in the Rainforest Cave, enjoy an a la carte breakfast and a barista made coffee to get your day started!

If you have booked to change rooms for your second night, collect the keys to your new room from Jamala Reception at 1.30pm.

Day of Departure

Please ensure all luggage is packed and placed by the door inside your room  for collection prior to 10.30am. If you don’t require baggage collection, please advise reception.
