ACCESSIBLE ROOMS
Jamala Wildlife Lodge has wheelchair-accessible rooms available however many rooms do have stairs. If you have specific requirements please email [email protected] or call 02 6287 8444 before booking to discuss the best options for your needs.
PARKING
There are disabled car parking spaces available for use as apart of the dedicated Jamala Wildlife Lodge parking. There are additional disabled spots available in the National Zoo carpark.
Parking is free for Jamala visitors. Cars parked there for other purposes are towed away and substantial fees incurred by the driver.
HIRING A MOBILITY SCOOTER
Jamala Wildlife Lodge has several mobility scooters available for hire. Advanced bookings are encouraged as we do have limited units available on any given day. To make a booking please call 02 6287 8444 or email [email protected].
ASSISTANCE DOGS
For overnight guests at the Jamala Wildlife Lodge, the problems are significant for housing ADs. All rooms are within the zoo, so every guest has access to the zoo during their stay, day and night. If a dog was either taken outside or escaped from the room, the outcome could be catastrophic for either the Assistance Dog and/or some of the zoos animals, particularly at night when there are no staff out and about in the zoo. We are therefore unable to have ADs stay at Jamala.

Wheelchair accessible toilets are located throughout the zoo.
