Four Course Gourmet Dinner

Start your evening with pre-dinner drinks on the terrace or in the Rainforest Cave where you will most likely be joined by some special guests, which may include white lions or hyenas!

Complimentary Moet Champagne and fine wines!

To continue the African theme, you will join other guests at large tables* for a delectable and fun African gourmet dinner party with some great wines, all included! The four-course menu regularly changes to accommodate seasonal fresh food.

Most dietary requirements can be catered for, just let us know at least 48 hours before arrival.

Children are welcome to dine with their parents and if they wish, they can also enjoy a guided tour of the aquarium while their parents have their main course. The pricing for children meals are $295.00 per child per night selecting the child’s meal and $395.00 per child per night selecting the adult meal.  If you are bringing children, please advise us at least 6 days prior to arrival if you wish for them to have the children’s or the adult’s meal. When the Rainforest Cave is at maximum occupancy, some guests will dine upstairs alongside the sharks after meeting the animals during drinks on the terrace. When Jamala is at peak occupancy, several guests may dine on the heated and enclosed terrace adjoining the Cave.

Dress for dining is neat casual.

  • Slow-Cooked Moroccan Lamb Shoulder – Paris mash, broccolini, Dutch carrot, red wine lamb jus, served with chermoula (G/D*)
  • Confit Duck with Cape Blend Cherry Jus – Sweet potato & parsnip mash, green bundle with fried leek (G/D*)
  • Miso-Cured Patagonian Toothfish – Potato rosette, bean medley, lemon caper sauce, zucchini flower stuffed with prawn mousse (G/D*)
  • Madagascar Vegetable & Tofu Curry – Served with a side of coconut rice (G/D/Vegan)
  • Pumpkin Ravioli – Goat’s cheese, sage butter, pine nuts, with rocket & shaved parmesan salad (V)

On arrival, you will be treated to a sumptuous High Tea/Light Lunch, before going on tour.

Either before or after your morning safari, you will make your way back to uShaka Lodge’s Rainforest Cave for a full al a carte cooked breakfast.
